After releasing 4 albums in the last 7 years and constantly touring their act, TV On The Radio have finally decided to take a break. A well deserved break if you ask me, because of the recent fanfare which followed their September 2008 release Dear Science. This isn’t really a hiatus though, it’s just one year, that’s called a normal break. If one year is considered a “hiatus”, I guess that’s where most bands are right now.

But the break doesn’t mean all will be quiet on the TVOTR front. While the band is off on their one year hiatus, guitarist Kyp Malone will be working on his side project entitled, Rain Machine. To get a taste of what it’s going to sound like, try this on for size. Malone has said that the new album will be released on September 22 on the Anti-record imprint and here are his tour dates:
