My Bloody Valentine, Pixies and now Pavement! Speculation of a Pavement reunion has been rumored for the past three or four years, but finally, one of them seems legit. Even though at the end of the career, they were playing medium sized venues and bands like 98 Degrees were selling out areas, Pavement’s popularity has been passed on to the next generation. Stephen Malkmus had this to say:

“Something small in 10 years like the Zeppelin thing sounds good to me,” referring to the one-night-only London show the aging Hammers of the Gods put on in December. “Obviously, the arena would be smaller than theirs, though.”

With the band lined up to play about four shows, including a benefit in September in New York and Coachella 2010, mark your effin’ calanders and start saving for a plane ticket.
